Biography
A product of the renowned Ernie Els and Fancourt Foundation, Silver Lakes Country Club's Mclachlan was among the top amateurs in South Africa before turning professional in 2022. Among his highlights in the amateur ranks, Mclachlan won the Nomads SA Boys U-19 Match Play Championship title at Woodhill Country Club in 2018 and the 2016 World Amateur Golf Audi Reunion Men's Division in Reunion Island
In his debut season, Mclachlan proved his mettle on the Sunshine Tour's Blue Label Development Tour where he won one and came second three times. He also boasts a top-10 finish on the Sunshine Tour ? a 10th-place finish at the Vodacom Origins of Golf KwaZulu Natal leg. This was Mclachlan's biggest cheque on Tour to date.
