Biography
The Centurion Country Club player is one of those who wear their heart on the sleeves. 2023 was a significant year for Wears-Taylor as he broke through with his only Sunshine Tour victory at the Mediclinic Invitational.
He'd been knocking on the door for a while and his second- place finish in the FBC Zimbabwe Open in 2022 was a clear indication of the man's intentions and abilities. He recorded two more top-10 finishes that season; finishing ninth at both the Viviene and Gary Player Invitational as well as in the Vodacom Origins of Golf at Highland Gate.
His best finish on the Order of Merit was 24th attained in the 2022/23 season.
