Biography
Chris has probably the most interesting nicknames on the Sunshine Tour. "The Ginger Cat" because of his red hair and freckles. "Noah" because he's always busy working on the arc of his golf swing. And "Wild Dog" because he chased a group of wild dogs on the fairways of the Hans Merensky Golf Club in Phalaborwa (bordering the Kruger National Park) during a tournament one year.Chris was named the Player of the year on the Asian PGA Tour in 1998.Received the 'Golf Digest Achiever Award' for best international achievement by a South African in 1998.Awarded the 'Merit Award' for outstanding achievement in 1998 by Compleat Golfer.Chris won after a dramatic six-hole play- off, with Jason Jackson and Ashley Roestoff, the longest in the history of the Sunshine Tour's winter events, during the Seekers Travel Pro-Am.
